Our colleagues in veterinary medicine are vastly important in keeping your pets as healthy as possible.
There are many situations that require care from a traditional brick and mortar veterinary hospital. The health of your pets is always my top priority, and acutely sick, surgical cases, and severely injured pets are better served in a veterinary hospital with adequate staffing and monitoring capabilities. Thankfully there are many wonderful veterinary practices in the Rochester, MN and surrounding area that provide vital care to pets in our area.
Please contact your preferred veterinary clinic or hospital in emergency situations. Remember the ABC's of emergency medicine - airway, breathing, and circulation. If your pet has difficulty breathing, is actively bleeding or convulsing (seizures), or has collapsed, please seek veterinary care IMMEDIATELY. Pets that may need x-rays and/or surgery (progressive vomiting/GI obstruction, acute injury/broken bones, severe eye injuries, etc...) should also be evaluated in a fully staffed veterinary hospital.
For emergencies that occur after regular business hours, please contact Allied Emergency & Referral Veterinary Service at (507) 900-5600. They are located at 205 S Main Street
Stewartville, MN 55976.
